Alexandre Frota’s return to Globo after 25 years was marked by an emotional performance on the The Battle of Lipsync segment of Sunday with Huck. Frota competed against his friend Eri Johnson, ultimately winning the belt after impersonating Evandro Mesquita and a song by Charlie Brown Jr.

During the show, Luciano Huck read a letter from Alexandre Frota expressing his desire to participate in the program to demonstrate his successful career to his children and make them proud. Huck then presented a tribute, showcasing Frota’s past roles in Globo soap operas and featuring testimonials from his children. The actor was visibly moved by the recognition.

Though, viewers noted that Alexandre frota failed to mention his eldest son, Mayã Frota, or his granddaughter, Eloise, Mayã’s daughter. This omission highlights a strained relationship that has lasted for ten years.

Mayã Frota, 27, is the son of alexandre Frota and Samantha Lima Gondim. Samantha was 16 years old when she and alexandre Frota were involved in Brasilia in 1988. After Mayã’s birth, she pursued legal action to have Alexandre Frota recognize him as his son.

Mayã Frota currently resides in Germany. In August 2024, he became a father to Eloise, alexandre Frota’s first granddaughter, who was also unacknowledged during the television appearance. In 2018, following Alexandre frota’s election as a federal deputy, Mayã Frota posted a message on social media, expressing his feelings about his father’s public persona: “I am a son of former porn actor, former cocaine-oriented, who defends the family, but wanted to abort me. As he became a federal deputy from Sao paulo, I don’t know. At least now he won’t be able to use it as an excuse ‘I have no money to pay the pension,” Mayã wrote on former Twitter.
