Matilda Plan is not alone in having gone from one Stockholm club to another. Among other things, Magdalena Eriksson left Hammarby for games in Djurgården in 2012, before Filippa Angeldahl made the move to Hammarby from AIK four years later.
Once the relocation was carried out, they were not met by any major negative reactions, but since the move to AIK, Plan has had to endure a hate storm on social media.
On Tuesday, there was also no difference when, during AIK’s heating, glowing words were scanned, from the stand.
– I tried to focus on the match and what I could do out there on the pitch, I think I am doing well, says Plan.
– I had to count on some reactions when I switched to AIK so it was well included. Obviously it’s not okay as well, but that’s what it is – I don’t know what to do about it.
Did you expect this type of scenario before moving to AIK?
– I had expected reactions, but the word choices may stand for them.
Before the derby was Djurgårdenwhich so far are undefeated in Allsvenskan, favorites against eighth -placed AIK. This was proved by winning by a total of 4-0, two of which were scored by the match’s leaders, Therese Åsland.
Plan’s new teammate, striker Adelisa Grabus, was not very pleased with the effort.
– It feels shit of course, it’s embarrassing. It’s the worst thing I’ve seen this year, there’s not much more to say, she says.
What do you have to say about the words that plan had to endure before the match?
– I didn’t put that much energy into it. But if they want to put energy into it, they must do it, but the audience may be here to support their own team instead.
The first goal came in the 20th minute when Åsland pushed the ball into the cross from the penalty area. And fifteen minutes later, she also screwed in 2-0 on a strike from a fairly simple corner variant.
– We couldn’t have had a better day than we got today. We planned the variant yesterday and it is very fun that it worked on the first attempt – we have not trained on it before, says Åland after the match.
– I am proud of the whole team and not least the audience that came today and that we have become even more at the stands.
What do you have to say about the crowd that sang Glover words about Matilda planes?
– I didn’t hear it, because they ended up when I came out.
They sang pretty rough things. What do you think about the fact that such strong reactions are aroused to a player, because of a club change in this case?
– Of course, we do not want such serious things against someone regardless. But it’s hard for me to comment because I didn’t hear it.
The sun was still high when AIK gathered early in a cluster inside the grass to talk together for the second half.
But after only ten minutes, the ball was again in the AIK goal and when the sun began to go down over the western stands of the stadium, Tove Almqvist determined the final figures 4-0.
– We tried to use what was sung on the stand for lighter fluid, but I think we do not get them in the press and that is where we lose today, says Plan.
