Massimo Dutti presents its new Christmas campaign 2025the animated short Holiday Light. A story told frame by frame in a world created in stop motionan animation technique that comes to life thanks to the meticulous craftsmanship applied to each shot.
As the fashion brand reports in a press release today, Wednesday, December 24, 2025, Holiday Light has been created with the intervention of more than 25 artists -figurers, set designers, stylists and art directors- who worked to give shape to this unique piece, made by hand and shot in more than 2,400 frames.
It is “a magical and unique animated short, without any type of digital technology, the work of Ray Atelier -creative studio specialized in immersive experiences and based in Stockholm- in collaboration with the Massimo Dutti team«.
In Holiday Light “we found a film purely Christmas, in which the protagonist is a star on her way back home,” the statement continues. The narrative comes to life in a hand-crafted miniature world. In the middle of the night, a mysterious woman watches through her telescope. A small star falls from the sky, impregnating everything it touches with light.
Finally it falls on the snow and the mysterious woman picks it up, with the help of a very long ladder, and places it with care and care on the moon.
