Man City Win League Cup: Arsenal’s Title Hopes Crushed

by Archynetys Sports Desk

Manchester City won the League Cup (Carabao Cup) for the ninth time in its history, following a 2-0 victory over Arsenal, on Sunday, in the final match of the competition at Wembley Stadium in the British capital, London.

Nico O’Reilly wore a brilliant dress in the match, after scoring two goals for Manchester City within just four minutes, as he opened the scoring for the team in the 60th minute, before adding the second goal in the 64th minute.

Arsenal was unable to return to the match during the remaining time of the match, failing again to win the title, which it won in the 1986/1987 and 1992/1993 seasons, so that championship continues to dedicate its contract to the London team, which dreamed of obtaining the historic quadruple (English League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup) during the current season.

This was the seventh final that Arsenal lost in the League Cup and the fourth in a row, so this competition will remain difficult for the ancient club until further notice.

On the other hand, City’s coronation comes as a morale boost at an ideal time for Guardiola’s team, which bid farewell to the Champions League a few days ago in the 16th final against Spanish Real Madrid.
