Man Attacks Police: Refuses Arrest, Assaults Officers

It was a chaotic Saturday evening on December 27th for the citizens of Rovereto who alerted the police to report the presence of some annoying people along the streets of the western outskirts of the city.

The police officers intervened immediately and sent a patrol to the scene to carry out all the necessary investigations. In this context, the police stopped a man for a check who initially refused to provide his personal details and then attacked the officers, punching, kicking and spitting on them.

Two colleagues came to their aid and, with the help of a capsicum spray, managed to immobilize him and take him to the barracks. At the end of the operation the man managed to damage two service cars and injure four officers who suffered injuries with a prognosis of two to seven days.

He was arrested. In light of his psychophysical conditions he was transported by healthcare personnel to the local hospital and reported for the crimes of resistance and aggravated injury to a public official and aggravated damage.
