On Wednesday, three men were convicted of planning and killing a 50-year-old toddler dad in Malmö in October last year.
Councilor Jacob Heister said in a press release, “There are many aggravating circumstances around the murder and the punishment for someone who was 18 years or older had become a life imprisonment. Due to his age, the sentance is set to prison for eight years.”
Along with the 17-year-old, a 30-year-old man is sentenced to assist in murder and serious drug crime to prison for ten years. A guy who was 16 years old at the time is convicted of instigating murder. He must have recruited and persuaded the shooter to perform the murder.
The Shooting at Home
The dad was shot with automatic weapons in his home on the morning of October 7.He was hit by two shots. Police and ambulance were quickly in place, but his life could not be saved.
“We had planned to sing for our daughter who turned six, but instead we wake up to a shooting,” said the man’s wife in a previous interview with SVT News Skåne.
According to the district court, the murdered man was not known by the police before and there is no indication that he was the intended victim.
Murder Commissioned by Foxtrot Network
According to the prosecutor, the suspected 17-year-old shooter had been commissioned by the criminal Foxtrot network to kill a fully different person.
The 17-year-old was taken care of by social authorities before the murder and, according to the prosecutor, was recruited when he was placed in a youth home.
According to Malmö District Court, he has denied obligation for murder, but has admitted that he handled the murder weapon.
