According to Bintara Situmorang, Finance and General Manager of PLN UP3 Malang, the power outages began early Tuesday, April 1, 2025, around 05:59 WIB and lasted until 06:04 WIB on Wednesday, April 2. The affected area spanned from Jalan Arumdalu in Songgoriti, Batu City, to the Pujon District in malang Regency.

PLN’s Rapid Response

PLN personnel were dispatched to the location following reports of the power disruption. Upon investigation,they discovered that a balloon had burned and made contact with the electrical network,causing sparks and triggering the network’s safety mechanisms. Situmorang confirmed that, fortunately, no electrical equipment was damaged, allowing for a swift restoration of power.

When checked it turns out that the balloon burned hit the network, causing sparks and burning, so the protection of the electricity network works. Grateful there is no damage to electrical equipment so that the electricity can be promptly normal again.
