Family members of a man shot and killed on the 200 block of Lyric Drive say the victim and his girlfriend were leaving their home from the backyard when they were attacked. The suspect, 24-year-old Noah Flores, who has been taken into custody.
“When officers arrived, the suspect’s family member had already removed the weapon from his hands,” said SAPD Public Information Officer Camelia Juarez.
The victims girlfriend who was shot as well was taken to the hospital.
“It’s unclear if they had confronted each other or what kind of interaction they had before the shooting,” said Juarez.
Police say they don’t know exactly where Flores was positioned on the property next to the backyard.
Some say they saw multiple firearms, including rifles, being taken out of the home where Flores lived after the shooting.
“We do have the suspect in custody. We do have witnesses who are being interviewed,” said Juarez.
Flores is facing an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge and a murder charge. He is still at the Bexar County Jail on a $350,000 bond.
