What is happening in the Baraban ice rink district, in the 3rd arrondissement in Lyon? A car has been set on fire again rue Saint-Victorien, near the Casino store, even though part of the road had just been resurfaced several weeks ago, following two car fires that occurred the previous months.
Explosion sounds
Sounds of explosions alerted residents of this sector of the 3rd arrondissement on Sunday, December 7, around 11 p.m. Large black smoke, filmed by local residents, was released. The firefighters quickly intervened to turn off the vehicle, which appears to be a Peugeot.
Residents of the Baraban ice rink area are now familiar with these facts… Last June, no less than seven cars were set on fire on rue Saint-Sidoine, parallel to rue Saint-Victorien, causing significant damage to the building adjoining the alley.
No cameras in the area
As the sector is devoid of any video surveillance camera, investigations are often difficult and unsuccessful.
It remains to be seen how long the burned car will remain there and when the marks on the asphalt will be erased.
