Five other moves occurred in the LVBP continuation trading line as the weekend began.
Three players came off the 7-day restrictive list this Friday. Two others went to that same restrictive list. And a fifth, Rougned Odorfinally returned to action.
Odor had a happy return to the Navegantes del Magallanes lineup. He was out since November 15, due to a muscle ailment. Back in the game, he reached base in 2 of his 4 trips to the plate, with a single and a walk.
The return of the former big league occurred at the expense of Angel Acevedoa good reliever, who in 9 appearances as an intermediate firefighter has a 2-0 record and a 3.32 ERA.
Acevedo will have to remain inactive for at least a week, on the restrictive list. He has the same wait that has just ended for a trio of Creoles.
And now Caribes can use the pitcher again Enderjer Sifontes (12.27 ERA in 6 games), the same thing that happens with Magallanes and Jorge Burgos (1-for-8 as an outfielder).
Although the numbers are not on their side, both are prospects who come from playing in the MLB system. Sifontes is very young, he has not yet pitched beyond Rookie with the Anaheim Angels; Burgos is already Double A for the Guardians.
Who probably won’t come back is Damiano Palmegiani. The super utility player received the approval of the Cardinals to travel to the United States. Jose YepezLara’s sports manager, told El Emergente that he could return, if necessary, but in principle it is not scheduled.
Palmegiani slashed .274/.370/.435 in his first 16 games in the LVBP.
