Vacheron Constantin : the Geneva manufacture has pushed detail to its climax by reinterpreting traditional symbols (characters, bamboo, circles) using watch movement components (cogs, screws, bridges) engraved on the tiles.
Cartier : expert in decorative arts, Cartier often favors lacquered wood and mother-of-pearl. The house’s iconic motifs, such as the panther, are delicately integrated into the decorations of the boxes, recalling the techniques used in fine jewelry.
Montblanc (the elegance of the line): Montblanc has published particularly sought-after mahjong sets, often linked to its collections celebrating Asian culture. These boxes are distinguished by the use of precious lacquer and high-density resins reminiscent of the texture of its famous writing instruments. The white star logo often adorns the back of the tiles, and the box is generally covered in extremely fine black calfskin.
Audemars Piguet (in photo above): adopting a more contemporary style, the Le Brassus brand has created refined sets in high-density resin and dark wood, marked with the emblematic AP logo, very popular for their minimalist aesthetic.
