Lucid Touring: Under €100,000 Price & Photos

The US electric car manufacturer Lucid has added a modification of the Gravity Touring SUV to its model range, which will be more affordable in terms of prices, allowing it to be kept below the 100,000-euro mark.

First, the Gravity Grand Touring became available for the choice of Europeans for a juicy 116,990 euros, but now it is complemented by the Touring model, which will cost “only” 99,900 euros.

Lucid Gravity celebrated its European premiere in September at the IAA Mobility show, and soon after Lucid opened orders for the first, more heavily equipped version. Now the focus is on the Touring model, which will make its public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show from November 21-30. In the USA, this model costs 79,900 dollars, or about 69,000 euros, although it should be noted that the prices there are usually indicated without taxes.

The Touring version, like the Grand Touring, maintains Lucid’s ambition to combine the functionality of a full-size SUV with the more compact dimensions of a mid-size car. It can accommodate up to seven adults. In its standard configuration, the Gravity is a five-seater, but if you choose the third row of seats, the volume of the luggage compartment also increases significantly – with the rear seats folded down, it reaches an impressive 3,398 liters.

Although the Touring version inherits a lot from the Grand Touring model, its technical parameters are slightly more modest. For example, charging is provided by a 672-volt system (Grand Touring – 926 V). Therefore, the maximum charging power is 250 kW instead of 400 kW, which still allows you to replenish the energy reserves for a 400 km journey in just 23 minutes. For comparison – 14 minutes would be enough for Grand Touring in this case.

The Touring’s battery capacity is 89 kWh, which provides a range of up to 545 kilometers in the WLTP cycle, while the Grand Touring offers 123 kWh and a range of up to 748 kilometers.

The Touring is powered by two electric motors with a total output of 418 kW (560 hp), which allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. Although the Grand Touring is more powerful in this regard, boasting 617kW and 3.6 seconds of acceleration, the Touring also provides sufficient dynamics. Comfort is maintained by the standard air suspension, while for those who want even more precise handling, the optional Dynamic Handling package is available. It includes three-chamber air suspension and rear-wheel steering for better maneuverability.

With this offering, Lucid clearly demonstrates its desire to attract a wider range of customers by offering both luxury options and a more affordable alternative to its premium electric SUV range.
