Lions, with the support of Håbo municipality, have coordinated the Lucia train for more than 30 years. In recent years, it has been in collaboration with the cultural school.
– It is nice that the culture school is part of this fine tradition. There is wonderful music, light and hope. At the same time, the lucia train contributes to charity, as sponsors make it possible to donate money to child cancer and childhood diabetes research, says Helena Jacobsén, who is responsible for the lucia train from the cultural school.
During a busy day, the Lucia train visited companies, old people’s homes, pensioners’ associations, the municipal hall and Skokloster church. The Church of Sweden in Håbo pastorate sponsored a bus, so that the Lucia train could go between the places.
