Seven students were arrested by LSUPD at the presidential search committee meeting today after a lively public comment section.
The altercation began when Gabriella Juarez, an officer of Students for a Democratic Society, refused to give up the microphone after her public comment time was up.
Juarez was escorted out by two police officers while she continued to scream obscenities toward the committee members.
The remaining group of students, many of them also SDS members who spoke at the public comment section, followed Juarez outside. They also chanted on their way out.
Outside, six other students were arrested by LSUPD.
