In bright late summer weather, a total of 73 teams went on time on Saturday at 11:31 a.m. In the end, however, there was a high failure rate: only 50 teams could be rated. The victory finally secured Thomas Lorenz and Marc Schwegler in the Skoda Fabia R5. After the accident -related ending for Daniel Rexhausen and Stephan Schneeweis, the duo presented themselves confidently and won the 37th edition of the ADAC Rallye Kohle & Stahl.
Max Schumann and Ann Felke made a surprise: The best-placed front-wheel drive team took second place and thus released the local heroes Hanno Brocker with co-pilot Stefan Grundmann in the elderly Mitsubishi Evo 8. “We were able to complete the rally without any problems and are very satisfied with second place in the overall ranking. Even if my brother was faster in WP1, I had a good feeling during the entire event,” said Schumann at the finish line.
Spannung im Ravenol DMSB Rallye Cup
Kevin Müller and Stefanie Spreifer also caused a stir. In Toyota Gr Yaris, the duo celebrated the seventh class victory of the season and further expanded the lead in the NC2 with 62.32 points. Since only the seven best results of a team go into the rating, you have put the bar in the Ravenol DMSB Rallye Cup up. However, it remains tight: with only 0.31 points behind Schumann/Felke, who won their class RC4. Last year’s winner Niklas Pöttgen is currently in fourth place behind the non -launched Mathias Schläppi. Pöttgen had to be satisfied with second place in the NC8 – just like Tim Wacker, who also only reached second place in the sparsely occupied RC5. “We gave everything, more than second place was not against the heavily rising team singer. Unfortunately, at the end of the WPS, our turbo lost performance at the warm temperatures,” said Pöttgen.
Since further points can be collected at the ADAC Rallye Franconian Switzerland and even double meters are awarded during the final run, ten teams still have ten teams on the overall victory – including premium of 2,500 euros.
Cup ratings remain open
It also remains exciting in the cup ratings: Max Schumann continues to lead in the Sindermann Renault Rallye Cup in front of Tim Wacker and Felix Schumann. In the DMSB Junior Cup, the duo Yannick Büchner/Niclas Zimmer is getting closer to the leaders Jeremy Palm/Lea Dick. A showdown in the final run is programmed here.
