Keir Starmer‘s British government has summoned Iran’s ambassador in London to the Foreign Office to raise a formal protest against “destabilizing” and espionage activities attributed to Tehran in the United Kingdom. The summons follows the recent arrest of an Iranian citizen accused of attempted intrusion together with a woman into the Faslane naval base, where the Royal Navy’s nuclear submarines are stationed. While it does not concern the burning in London of 4 ambulances belonging to a Jewish organisation, whose claim by a self-styled pro-Iran group has not yet been confirmed.
