She was quickly evacuated by the emergency services in front of her admirers, shocked.
“I’m fine now,” she then wrote on Instagram, announcing the cancellation of her concert the next day in Washington.
The day before, Lola Young had already canceled her participation in a festival in New Jersey, her manager Nick Shymansky evoking “protective measures to ensure her safety”, in connection with her “mental health”.
The singer, revealed internationally in 2024 with her song Messyviral on Tiktok, has confided in several interviews that she suffered from a schizo-fective disorder, which can cause manic episodes and require hospitalizations.
Very open to her health problems, she also declared in an interview with Guardian that it went to a detoxification treatment for cocaine dependence at the end of the last year.
When on stage on Saturday, she told the admirers that she had gone through “difficult days”.
She apologized Tuesday “to disappoint all those who bought a ticket” and promised them a refund, without saying exactly until when her concert dates were canceled.
She planned to perform in the United Kingdom in October, then in Canada, the United States and Mexico in November and December. His tour must then continue in Latin America and Europe between March and June 2026.
