Loise Chastain of Charleston, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston. She was almost 103 years old, having been born on July 18, 1922, in dustin, Oklahoma, to the late Asbury Francis McCasland adn Virgia Faye (Lasiter) McCasland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence Manual Chastain; her brothers, Allen McCasland, Melvin McCasland and Arnold McCasland; and her sisters, Jewell McCasland, Lorene Shelby, Jenneta Howard, Ladean Ragland, and Peggy Webb.

She is survived by three daughters, Darla Bangs of Charleston, Jenny Strickland of Springfield, Missouri, and Linda Hendren and husband Don of Eufaula, Oklahoma; a sister, Faye O’Blenness of Arizona; (10) grandchildren; (15) great-grandchildren; and (2) great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 30th, at Wetumka City Cemetery in Wetumka, Oklahoma, with Bro. Don Hendren officiating.Services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

Pallbearers will be family members.
