Fire in Viale Vignati, part of the structure destroyed by the flames seized. An investigation is underway to clarify the reasons behind the fire which devastated some of the Gemma Medical premises yesterday evening, Tuesday 3 February. The fire broke out a few minutes after 8.30pm in the city centre, involving the spaces inaugurated not even a month ago, but at the same time also leading to the evacuation of a room in the nearby Albergo Anelli and an apartment.
Flames clearly visible even to those passing by the Barbarossa Gardens and which brought dozens of people to the scene as well as obviously the firefighters of Lodi and Sant’Angelo, agents of the State Police and Carabinieri: the military personnel of the Carabinieri are entrusted with the investigations to shed light on the incident and clarify the nature of what happened. While the fire was making its way inside the Gemma Medical, some residents of the adjacent buildings would also have heard an explosion which could most likely be traced back to a glass window that had shattered due to the great heat released.
