Edvard Stockings was reportedly seen on the wrong side of the barrier at Dartford Crossing, approximately 17 miles away, shortly after the shooting. Kent Police found an abandoned vehicle and a firearm linked to him on the QE2 bridge later that evening.

Manhunt for Edvard Stockings

Specialist officers are currently searching the River Thames and the QE2 bridge for clues. Detective Chief Inspector David Higham stated, “We are currently only looking for one suspect and do not believe there to be an ongoing risk to the public.” Higham is not ruling out the possibility that Stockings may have entered the water at the Dartford Crossing.
