Each Christmas, as lights twinkle on rooftops and carols echo through busy stores, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invite the world to remember a quieter, holier light of the Savior. And in that same spirit, a simple red vending machine continues to transform the way people give.
They’re called Giving Machines, and this year they’re appearing in more places than ever before. You’ll find them 126 cities across 21 countries and six continents, from bustling New York to sun-washed Sydney and, for the first time, cities in South America.
This year, more than 4,000 items will be available to purchase, offered through over 500 local and global charities. Here are the 12 global participants!
- American Red Cross
- Care
- Church World Service
- Days for Girls International
- Lifting Hands International
- Mentors International
- Right to Play
- Special Olympics
- Splash
- UNHCR for USA
- UNICEF
- Water for Good
The Church covers all administrative and operating costs so 100% of every donation goes straight to the cause. No overhead. No hidden fees. Just pure giving. Since the first Giving Machines appeared in 2017, nearly $50 million has been donated.

Couples stop by after date nights to give a goat or school supplies. Youth groups pool their money to build wells. Each small act of giving ripples outward, turning compassion into something tangible.
It’s easy to feel small in a world with so much need. But that’s what makes the Giving Machines so moving. They remind us that even a few dollars can become a blessing—proof that miracles are still made of simple, ordinary choices.

Each location is a small beacon of light in its community, a reminder that Christ’s love knows no borders. Here is the full list of Giving Machine locations for 2025! Are you near one?

As you walk past the shimmer of Christmas lights this year, remember that the Savior’s light grows brightest when we share it. Whether through a beehive, a blanket, or a prayer, we can each help light the world—one act of love at a time.
