during a bilateral meeting at the Merdeka Palace in Central Jakarta on Sunday, Chinese Premier Li qiang conveyed greetings from Chinese president Xi Jinping to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.

“First of all, I want to convey the warm greetings and best hope of President Xi jinping to His Majesty President,” Li Qiang stated to Prabowo.

Li Qiang expressed his pleasure in making an official visit to indonesia at president Prabowo’s invitation. He emphasized the visit’s significance in the context of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations, which began in 1949.

“I am very happy to be able to make an official visit to Indonesia at your invitation, on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia,” he stated.

He also recalled prabowo’s visit to China in November of the previous year, which resulted in an agreement on developing a shared future for both countries. li Qiang noted that this agreement has elevated relations between indonesia and China to a new past level.

During his visit, Li Qiang also pledged to discuss various areas of strategic cooperation between the two countries.

“The purpose of my visit this time is to discuss cooperation with Indonesia in various related fields,” he added.

Previously, Prabowo had described China as not only a trading partner but also a strategic ally for Indonesia. He made these remarks during a Dinner Business forum with Li Qiang on Saturday night.

Prabowo emphasized that trade and investment relations clearly demonstrate the joint commitment of both countries to building a stronger and more prosperous future.

“Our trade has exceeded 130 billion US dollars every year and we view that China is a very strategic partner in the development of our industry and technology,” he said.
