Out of it Year in Reviewreport that Pornhub presents annually, shows, among other things, that ‘hentai‘, ‘milf‘ and ‘pinay‘ were the most popular keywords in 2025 and that the United States – despite a ban in several states – remained the most important sales market, followed by Mexico and the Philippines.

Based on the searches and viewership, Pornhub also identified some broader trends. This shows growing diversity, despite Trump’s anti-LGBTQIA+ policy in the United States.
1. Miscellaneous desires
LGBTQIA+ content is on the rise on Pornhub. Lesbian content became the most popular category, closely followed by transgender-related videos. Keywords such as ‘lesbian scissoring’, ‘queer’ and ‘bisexual’ scored remarkably well. “It’s more than just an increase in views; it’s a cultural shift. People are looking for stories and performers that break old ideas about gender and sexuality. This growth shows that trans creators are finally being seen and celebrated on our own terms. The audience and the industry are evolving together,” said Pornhub Brand Ambassador Natassia Dreams.

2. Mature MILFS
Celebrities like Pamela Anderson show that aging and sexuality can go hand in hand. The ever-popular MILF keyword (Mother I’d Like to Fuck) became even more popular in 2025, becoming the second most popular search query. Even the GILF category (Grandmother I’d Like to Fuck) was viewed more than ever. “There is a growing interest in ‘realness’, age and naturalism. There could be more opportunities to talk about healthy attraction, realistic beauty standards and acceptance of bodies of all ages,” says Dakota Ramppen, Pornhub Sexual Wellness Center employee, educator and relationship coach.

3. Role play from life
Roleplay as a category increased in popularity by 98% and daily situations related to work life in particular scored well. Keywords such as ‘driver’, ‘plumber’ and ‘professor’ were remarkably popular. The strongest increase within the category was reserved for the keyword ‘boss’, with an increase of 175%. “People want stories, structure, power relations,” says Ramppen. “The spike in the role-play category suggests that viewers are craving scenarios that feel more like ‘real life, but more exciting’. It’s less about pure sex, more about context: taboos, authority games, everyday fantasies.”

4. Bedrog in business
The CEO scandal during a Coldplay concert earlier this year caused a lot of ink to flow and apparently also had an impact on our viewing habits. Searches for ‘cheating’ increased by 94%, for ‘secret cheating’ by 148%. And that’s nothing compared to the increased popularity of ‘office affair’ (210%) and ‘CEO’ (388%). “Cheating and affairs have been popular search terms in recent years, especially office romance. Sex in the office involves breaking rules or crossing boundaries, and that can cause more arousal in the brain,” says Dr. Laurie Betito of the Pornhub Sexual Wellness Center.
5. Femboy fixation
While the search term ‘femboy’ used to be popular mainly among gay men, the keyword is now successful among a broader audience. For the first time in Pornhub’s history, it even ranks as the tenth most popular keyword worldwide.
