LevelBlue Enhances Cybersecurity Capabilities with Acquisition of Aon‘s Consulting Groups

LevelBlue, a managed security services provider specialising in cloud-based solutions, has reached an agreement to acquire the cybersecurity and intellectual property (IP) litigation consulting groups from Aon.
The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed publicly.
The acquisition includes Stroz Friedberg, a well-known cybersecurity firm, and Elysium Digital, which specialises in technology-related IP litigation.
Aon’s consulting group provides a suite of risk management services, including digital forensics, penetration testing, and adversary simulation.
The acquisition is expected to significantly boost LevelBlue’s capabilities in incident response, as well as cyber and high-tech IP litigation consulting.
LevelBlue chairman and CEO Robert McCullen stated: “By combining LevelBlue’s exceptional cloud-based, AI-driven managed detection and response platform with Stroz Friedberg’s proactive cyber consulting and advanced digital forensic and incident response capabilities, we are introducing the industry’s most thorough unified cybersecurity services platform.”

Approximately 300 technology professionals will join LevelBlue as part of the integration, enhancing the company’s existing 24/7 managed detection and response services.

Santander served as the financial advisor to LevelBlue, with legal counsel from Kirkland & Ellis. Lazard and Latham & Watkins acted as financial and legal advisors, respectively, to Aon.
Earlier this month, Start Network, a UK-based humanitarian organisation, in partnership with Aon, introduced a reinsurance product to support Start Ready, a global fund focused on early action in response to climate crises.
