In response to the ongoing global health crisis,the Faculty of Finis Terrae University is spearheading a community cycle titled Let’s talk about COVID-19.
This initiative, organized by the UFT School of Medicine, seeks to foster informed discussions and provide valuable insights into the pandemic’s multifaceted challenges.
Webinar Series: A Platform for National Dialog
The series will consist of weekly webinars, held every Friday at 6:00 p.m. for the next six weeks. These online sessions are accessible to the entire university community and the broader public, offering a platform for engagement with leading national figures. Each session will feature discussions between prominent guests and Finis Terrae University academics, focusing on analyzing the national and international situation and developing projections to inform current debates.
As of today, the global impact of COVID-19 remains notable. According to the World Health Institution, there have been over 700 million confirmed cases and nearly 7 million deaths worldwide. These figures underscore the importance of ongoing dialogue and analysis to navigate the pandemic’s complexities.
inaugural Session: Evaluating Chile’s Response
The series kicks off on May 1st at 6:00 p.m. with a session addressing Definitions and evaluation of the Government of Chile against the Covid-19 Challenge.
The inaugural event will feature Dr. Karla Rubilar, Minister general Secretary of Government, and will be moderated by Dr. Marco Antonio Núñez, Public Health Academic at finis Terrae University. The webinar will be accessible through the university’s institutional website (Finisterrae.cl).
