Bruno Retailleau had multiplied the declarations inviting the government to have “the courage” to use article 49.3. It’s done. However, the president of the Republicans denounced the concessions Sébastien Lecornu granted to the socialist deputies.
“The budget proposed by the government includes all the socialist ingredients which have led to the decline of France: more spending and more taxes which weigh on and discourage those who produce”, he wrote on X. “The result is known: more debt, fewer jobs and a purchasing power of the French which will continue to decline”, he added.
“This budget confirms the fact that we will have to wait for the presidential election to carry out the reforms that the country needs,” he said.
