The League of Women Voters Northern Lower Michigan will host a Zoom forum titled “Effective Communication with Legislators & Agencies” on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
According to a community announcement, panelists will discuss productive ways to provide input to legislative representatives and regulatory agencies. They will also address the effectiveness of online petitions, postcards, emails and phone calls.
The forum will include Nate Engle from the Michigan Department of Agricultural and Rural Development; Casey Adams, legislative director to Mai Xiong, Michigan’s 13th state representative; and Andrea LaFontaine, executive director of the Michigan Trails Council and endowed chair at Central Michigan University. LaFontaine is a former state legislator.
