The Mexican National Team is not going through a good moment, after the win the team received Javier Aguirre Against Colombia, the criticism has been more pointed against Vasco, its players and its coaching staff, although not everyone agrees that this is the main problem.

“The view is wrong, it is neither the coach nor the players, it is those who direct the Federation and the National Team, there the leaders are the ones who have made bad decisions, as almost always in Mexican soccer, we were competing at a high level when we were in the Libertadores, Copa América and in the Sudamericana and they decided that we had to go down because we were going up very quickly,” commented the Pentapichichi in Futbol Picante

Mexico is close to completing a decade without its clubs participating in Conmebol competitions. The last teams that played in the Copa Libertadores were Pumas, Toluca and Puebla in the 2016 edition. On the other hand, Liga MX clubs have not gone to the Copa Sudamericana since 2008, when Chivas and San Luis participated.
