From Monday, November 24, at At 12.00 it will be possible to buy the new subscription of the “Latvija” concert hall, which includes six concerts of the first half of 2026 and which will ensure presence at notable musical events.
By purchasing a subscription to the “Latvija” concert hall, music connoisseurs will be able to attend the 90th anniversary celebration concert of Maestro Raimonds Paul and the premiere of organist Iveta Apkalna’s new album, recorded in Ventspils. This will allow you to enjoy the interplay of pianist Rein Zariņš, the State Academic Choir “Latvija” and conductor Māras Sirmās, Arvo Pert St. Performance of St. John’s Passion, Gala concert of Latvian National Opera, premiere of new work by Krist Auznieks performed by Belgian violinist Mark Buškov and the State Chamber Orchestra “Sinfonietta Rīga” in a concert in which Normunds Shne will stand at the conductor’s desk for the last time as the leader of the orchestra.

Already at the beginning of January, we will celebrate the 90th anniversary of Raimonds Paulus in the “Latvija” concert hall – together with many Latvian artists and the Maestro’s favorite songs and music. Raymond Paul’s music unites generations and eras, it is our cultural code that belongs to the past, present and future at the same time. The Latvian Radio Choir, Latvian Radio Big Band, Sinfonietta Rīga Chamber Orchestra, actor Artūrs Skrastiņš, singer Daumants Kalniņš, pianists Matīss Žilinskis and Rihards Plešanovs and Ventspils Apvienotais Koris will take part in the concert. The performance of the world-famous organist Iveta Apkalnas will be a unique opening event for her latest album, where the music of Pēteras Vaskas and Arvo Perts meet. A musical affirmation of hushed peace and inner light – a journey in silence, faith and eternity. Pianist Reiņš Zariņš, State Academic Choir “Latvija” and conductor Māras Sirmās will play the opus of John Tavener, the piano music of Olivier Messiaen and the symphony “Vēstules” by Erik Ešenvald in the joint program.
Arvo Pert’s “Passion of St. John” – one of the most remarkable musical works of the 20th century – will open April in the “Latvija” concert hall. In the prime of spring, when nature is reborn and a new beginning is in the air, the “Latvija” concert hall invites you to a brilliant Gala concert of the Latvian National Opera, where the most beautiful melodies of operas will be heard and the brightest musical stars will shine. Under the leadership of maestro Mārtiņš Ozoliņš, the audience will be delighted by excellent soloists, the choir and orchestra of the Latvian National Opera. The big event of May is the premiere of a new work by Krista Auznieks, Belgian violinist Marks Buškovs, State Chamber Orchestra “Sinfonietta Rīga” and conductor Normunds Shne. A concert with a flowing fabric of sounds – spatial, engrossing, where every sound is like a door to unknown dimensions and the eternal mystery of music.
These events are organized by SIA “Kurzemes filharmonija” with the support of the municipality of Ventspils and the State Cultural Capital Fund.
