As a general thaw continues across Latvia, a nationwide yellow warning (potential danger) has been issued by the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LVĢMC).
The warning applies right from Friday through to Tuesday, indicating that rivers and streams will continue to rise as snow and ice melt and that flooding may be possible in some areas.
