High-Speed Chase Ends with Four Detained in Las Vegas

By Amelia Thompson | LAS VEGAS – 2025/07/01 10:23:01

Four individuals are in custody after a vehicle led Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) officers on a high-speed chase through the northwest valley. The incident prompted a temporary road closure as authorities investigated.

The events unfolded around 6:30 p.m. when LVMPD officers attempted to pull over a vehicle near 1300 S. Maryland Parkway, in the downtown Las Vegas vicinity.Instead of stopping, the vehicle sped away, initiating the pursuit.

Initially, marked patrol cars did not engage in the chase. The LVMPD Air Unit, though, tracked the vehicle from above.

As the vehicle continued to drive erratically and at high speeds, officers in marked patrol units joined the pursuit.

The pursuit concluded near Farm Road and Cimarron Road, where the vehicle’s occupants abandoned it and attempted to escape on foot. Law enforcement established a perimeter and successfully apprehended four individuals who are now considered persons of interest in the case.

The intersection of Farm Road and Cimarron Road was temporarily shut down in all directions during the examination. Authorities have confirmed that no injuries were sustained during the incident.

“The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed.”
