Land Rover has made a strong commitment to the Dakar Rally, not only from a sporting point of view, but also as a sponsor of the competition, because since the previous edition, the reconnaissance vehicles and those of the organization itself during the race are provided by the legendary British brand.
For this next edition, in addition to what has already been stated, Land Rover will put three Defender Dakar D7X-Rs in the race that are derived from the Defender Octa and are equipped with a 4.4-liter biturbo V8 engine, which delivers 636 HP, wearing 35-inch tires and equipped with all the elements that allow it to overcome the very tough demands that they will have to face during the 13 stages.
The team will be made up of the Dakar’s top winner, the Frenchman Stéphane Peterhansel, along with the American Sara Price and the young Lithuanian driver Rokas Baciuska, Rally Raid world champion.
