Lacapelle Christmas Market: Cahors’ First Festive Event

by Archynetys Health Desk

The “Terre de Lumière” association is organizing the very first Christmas market in the hamlet of Lacapelle, in Cahors, next Sunday, November 30. This event will be held in the village hall, both indoors and outdoors, and will bring together around forty exhibitors ready to welcome visitors.

The artisans present will offer a wide choice of gift ideas, such as pottery objects, candles, ceramics, soaps and jewelry. The market will also offer bee products, foie gras, saffron, as well as numerous decoration suggestions and games for children.

Entertainment and activities for young and old

Christmas would not be complete without the arrival of Santa Claus, who will be present to the delight of the children. He will be accompanied by a professional makeup artist and Jimmy the Enchanter, the “world-unknown” magician, who will provide entertainment throughout the day. In addition, the Étrier du Quercy will offer pony rides for the youngest.

To recover from all these emotions, visitors will be able to savor various delicacies: churros, chocolate and mulled wine, pancakes, pizzas and fries will be offered throughout the day.

Sunday, November 30, entry to the Christmas market is free and open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Access to magic shows and pony rides is also free.
