They had promised their fans a big party for their « ultime concert ». Wednesday, November 26 in the evening, La Femme gave a fiery and luminous show at the Accor Arena in Paris. They were able to deploy their entire mysterious universe there, while leaving doubt about the future of the training. The most Parisian of Basque groups completed a long tour following the release, in October 2024, of their sixth studio album, Rock Machineduring which they notably played in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Nearly fifteen years after the beginnings of the group, its two co-founders, Marlon Magnée and Sacha Got, decided to go solo, to try their hand in particular at production. During a meeting during their rehearsals, a few weeks before the concert, they admitted to having sex “complicated” recently and assumed they wanted to make a “big break”. The first two parts of this great concert were therefore a perfect opportunity for them to present their projects to the Parisian public who came in large numbers. Singer Sam Quealy, protégé of Marlon, opened the ball with her « technopop »before giving way to the cold-wave of Tentative, a group produced by Sacha. No doubt in my ear, The Woman is not far away.
