From September 1, 2025, monthly payments of benefits to students who have taken maternity leave will grow to the subsistence minimum – 17,589 rubles. This was reported by the Department of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation for Kuzbass.
“Prior to the introduction of innovations, the size of the manual was calculated based on the size of the scholarship. Now the payment will be fixed and tied to the cost of living. According to preliminary estimates, the average amount of benefits for the standard 140-day maternity leave for Kuzbass students will be about 82 thousand rubles, ”explained Lyudmila Babichuk, managing department of the SFR in the Kemerovo region.
The OSFR of Kuzbass explains that the right to new payments of benefits is received by girls who are in person in higher education institutions, colleges, technical schools, schools, in organizations of additional professional education and in scientific organizations.
An application for benefits must be submitted within 6 months from the date of end of maternity leave. This can be done through public services or in the social fund branch.
