Actress Kristýna Frejová discusses her recent surge in work, newfound passion for fitness, and aspirations for the future.
Balancing Work and Well-being
When asked if she’s a workaholic,Kristýna Frejová admits,”I admit that a lot has come together lately.Up to overly. But I say, ‘I like work and I’m not afraid to use it.'” She acknowledges the demanding nature of her schedule but expresses gratitude for the opportunities she receives. “Although there are days when I am plowed like currants,I realize what I am lucky and thank you for all those opportunities.I possibly choose. This is a great advantage of the so -called free leg.” She notes the importance of avoiding circumstances like the pandemic, which can turn freedom into a “clear hell.”
Reflecting on her experiences during periods of inactivity, “Better not to remember…” she says. “I am an optimist, but at that time I was experiencing days when I was regularly waking up in horror at four in the morning and wondering what to do with us.” Despite having ample free time, she found herself lacking concentration and motivation. “It was a terrible vacuum. God for God that it is gone. And that I have my solid rituals, which I can put in a cluster if necessary.”
Embracing fitness at 55
Frejová has enthusiastically embraced strength training, sharing her progress on social media. “Originally I started strengthening in readiness for one role and now I am every free time on the machines. I found out I needed to put my body in my body. And that when I feel physical fatigue, I feel very good.” She clarifies that her intention isn’t to boast but to demonstrate that “even at fifty -five – I feel so much now – I can live to the fullest. And that the gym can become unexpected addiction and great joy.”
“I like work and I’m not afraid to use it.”
She also credits her coach for her success. “I guess I’d do it, but it wouldn’t be it. In strengthening it is millimeters. Without the right guidance, you can easily hurt yourself. So I’m under supervision, and it’s motivating. If the coach in the gym did not wait for me in the morning, I might not get out of the house at all. This is how I crawl to him even four.”
Frejová describes the positive conversion she’s experienced. “Absolutely. Of course I don’t want to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger, but I’m solid, in the form and pounds I don’t solve, which is priceless.” She emphasizes the importance of enjoying food without guilt. “And between us, I love cooking and eating it and I don’t want to solve anymore, if I can or can’t give something I just want. I just have it.” She adds that strength training has had a positive impact on her mental state. “In addition, strengthening will change the head settings, it is something like a natural antidepressant. When I did not practice ten days last month as of my workload, I was out of it and sad. I realy missed it.”
Venturing into Screenwriting
Frejová has also taken on the challenge of screenwriting. “Screenwriting is a huge challenge for me. I perceive it as another captivating shift in my life, which I actually asked myself.” This opportunity arose during a period when she had less acting work. “It was at a time when I didn’t have the work as much as it is now. And because I have never been the type waiting for the phone for someone to hear from the offer, I confided in Ivan Vodochod, producer of the series Zoo New Beginnings. He called me one day, ‘We send you the scenario and write another episode, Hey!'”
She describes her entry into screenwriting as being thrown “straight into the water.” “You can say that. Of course it was not a completely unknown environment for me – I play myself in the series and six more people take care of the scripts. But I had to navigate myself and follow up on others within the work that was entrusted to me.”
