– We currently have little information about the motive, and are sparse with information at this time, says police attorney Fredrik Martin Soma to VG.
Two men in their 30s are charged with the murder of two people in Kopervik on Karmøy.
The accused were taken to Haugesund police station after their arrest yesterday.
– This is an unusual and special case for us, with two victims at two crime scenes, says Suma.
The victims were found in two different homes in Kopervik on Karmøy on Saturday.
A woman in her 50s and a man in his 60s are believed to have been killed. Both lived in Pilehagen housing collective, a municipal housing facility for people with various challenges.
Next of kin have been notified.
The man will undergo an autopsy on Sunday, while the autopsy on the woman is scheduled for Monday.

At 19:00 on Saturday evening, the two men accused of murder were arrested.
– What led you to these two?
– It was both information from witnesses and technical investigations that led us to the two. We looked for them over a period of time, and several addresses were relevant. One of the accused was arrested when he came out of an address we had under surveillance, barely two kilometers from the place where the two deceased were found, says Soma.
The police have been investigating the case through the night and will continue their work on Sunday with forensic investigations, tactical searches and witness interviews.
– The police currently have no indications that more people are involved than what we informed about yesterday, says Soma.
Police attorney in the South-West police district
The two accused will be produced for remand tomorrow.
– I will have a conversation with him, says defense attorney Odd Arild Helland about why he has not had contact with his client so far.
Lawyer Ben Einar Grindhaug is defending the other accused.
– My client will not be questioned on Sunday, says Grindhaug to VG.
Found in two different homes
The police went to a home in Kopervik at 09.29 on Saturday morning after a report of a dead person.
It was here that they found the first deceased person.
A few hours later, the second person was found dead in a nearby residence. This happened in connection with an inquiry related to the investigation.
The injuries to the deceased woman and man made the police suspect murder, but they have not yet wanted to comment on what the injuries were.
– The deceased have not yet been autopsied, and that could give us a clue as to what the murder weapon might be. We have seized items of interest, but so far we do not have anything that we can conclude was used as a murder weapon. The autopsy will be able to narrow this down, says Soma.
Acquaintance between perpetrators and victim
The information in the case indicates that there has been some form of relationship or an acquaintance between the two accused and the two deceased, the Sør-Vest police district stated in a press release.
There is no question of a familial relationship.
Both accused were arrested in the same apartment.
It is currently unknown how the two will respond to the charges.
