[16th (Reuters)]- The NBA Knicks defeated the Spurs 124-113 in the finals of the NBA Cup, the season’s cup competition, on the 16th, winning the championship.
For the Knicks, OG Anunoby scored 28 points, the most for either team, and also grabbed 9 rebounds. Seven players, including all five starters, scored in double figures, with Jalen Brunson following with 25 points and eight assists.
For the Spurs, substitute Dylan Harper scored 21 points, and seven players, including all five starters, scored in double figures. They took the lead in the second and third quarters.
However, the Knicks caught up early in the fourth quarter with a five-point lead, tied the score at 94-94, and never allowed the Spurs the lead after that.
