National Astronomical Research Institute (Public Organization) revealed that NARIT was able to successfully receive the first signal of the KNACKSAT-2 satellite on February 22, 2026, after the satellite was launched from the International Space Station. The received signal is Telemetry data, which is used to monitor the status of the satellite’s interior, such as the power system, batteries, and solar cells. It was found that the energy system had begun to return to work. Later on February 23, additional signals were received, totaling 14 sets, and there was a response signal from commands. (Telecommand) shows that satellites are likely to recover and can still communicate with the ground.
The main mission is controlled by the KNACKSAT-2 team from KMUTNB, while NARIT serves as a ground station to continuously monitor and receive signals to monitor the satellite’s health.
