Kings Rookie: Fitness & Potential

by Archynetys World Desk

Against the Nuggets, the Kings did not escape the collective disaster at home. A superior team in every way, and a great team in the end. However, in this ambient slump, a rookie rises: Maxime Raynaud. The Frenchman has good statistics (15 points, 9 rebounds, 37 minutes) and confirms his current good form.

Sometimes little used at the start of the season by Doug Christie, Maxime Raynaud is in a sort of chair inside with the Kings, since the injury to Domantas Sabonis. An ideal situation which so far smiles on the tricolor interior. For six games, the Frenchman has been shining and giving hope to the fans of a franchise that has been sorely lacking for some time.

Max Raynaud’s stats over the last 6 matches?

A form and confidence which did not fail to catch the eye of Scott Perry, the GM (general manager) of the Kings. The franchise risks going through a new stage of demolition soon, and Maxime Raynaud could already embody the era that will follow, namely the establishment of a new competitive team (via NBCS Bay Area)

โ€œI think we are seeing Maxime progress live. It’s fortunate for him that Domantas Sabonis was injured, it helped put Max on the field perhaps sooner than if Domas hadn’t gotten injured. He seized the opportunity, and thatโ€™s what we want to see from a young player. He gets better with every match. He’s starting to get rebounds out of his zone, which is a good thing for him, in my opinion. The better he gets at it, the better he will become. ยป

The Rising Star Game could well become a reality if the Frenchman continues to perform at this level. Domantas Sabonis should not return for a few matches at most, enough to give Maxime the opportunity to show himself more and more and why not believe in an excursion to Los Angeles in February?
