King Carlos III and Queen Camilla Remember Parents on Father’s Day Amidst Family Distance

By [Invented Reporter] | LONDON – 2025/06/16 15:30:37

king Carlos III and Queen Camilla commemorated their deceased parents on Father’s Day, even as a distance remains wiht the monarch’s youngest son, Prince Harry.

“To all parents everywhere, we wish them a Father’s Day today,” the royal family shared via Instagram on Sunday, june 15. The post featured archive photos of Carlos, 76, with his father, Prince felipe, and Camilla, 77, with her father, mayor Bruce Shand.

The Instagram account also shared an archive video of Carlos as a baby with Felipe through Instagram Stories.

Carlos did not share a photo with his children, Harry, 40, and Principe William, though William attended the Trooping The Color of 2025 on Saturday, June 14, an annual event celebrating the king’s birthday (which is actually in November).

“Another brilliant day at the Trooping The Colour for his Majesty’s birthday parade. Thanks to all who came, and all who participated,” shared the Prince of Wales, 42, and the 42-year-old princesa Kate Middleton via Instagram on Saturday, accompanied by a photo of their family, including their children: Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.

Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, did not attend, marking their third consecutive exclusion from the ceremony. The couple has remained separate from the royal family since stepping down from their duties in 2020 and relocating to California with their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4. They now manage the Archewell Foundation and its partnership with Netflix. Meghan, 43, also hosts her own podcast, “Confessions of a female Founder.”

Despite their differences, the Duke of Sussex recently expressed a desire to reconcile with Carlos, acknowledging his father’s ongoing battle with cancer. (Carlos fights an unleashed type of cancer).

“I would love to reconcile with my family. It makes no sense to continue fighting,” Harry told BBC News in May. “Life is lovely.”

Harry‘s comments followed his loss in a legal battle to reinstate his family’s security in the United Kingdom, where he alleged his father’s influence played a role. He claimed that, despite his appeals, Carlos “does not want to talk to me.”

“I can’t imagine a world in which I bring my wife and children back to the United Kingdom at this time,” Harry added. “I miss the United Kingdom, of course. And I think it’s really sad that I can’t show them, you know, my children.”

Royalty Expert Christopher Andersen told Us Weekly in May that Harry‘s remarks about Carlos‘s health likely worsened their relationship.

“If you are someone who is receiving cancer treatment, listening to those words from your child would be,I think, quite disconcerting,” Andersen saeid.”Not exactly a vote of confidence in your possibilities of complete recovery.”

“I would love to reconcile with my family. It makes no sense to continue fighting,” Harry told BBC News In May.
