Kimberly Shooting: Victim Dies – Updates

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A 65-year-old resident was confirmed dead after a shooting in Kimberly, the Kimberly Hansen Police Department said in a press release.

William E. Berks, 65, was shot the night of December 19 at a home near the intersection of Adams Street and Ash Street South in Kimberly. He was taken to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center, where he underwent surgery related to the shooting. Berks remained hospitalized, but died the evening of Dec. 24.

An autopsy was performed, and the police department is waiting for the results to determine the cause of death.

Police said the shooting remains under investigation and that the department released no new information about the shooter.
