Microsoft has extensively revised its photo app and integrated AI functions that make it easier to manage large image collections. On Copilot+PCs with Intel, AMD or Qualcomm NPUs, the app can automatically classify photos in categories such as screenshots, documents or notes and supports several languages. A keyword search also enables certain content to be found quickly.
“Super Resolution” is also new, a tool that improves images locally and improves details – particularly practical for older or low -resolved photos. Since the processing takes place directly on the device, it remains quickly and data protection -friendly.
The innovations are available exclusively for Copilot+hardware and show Microsoft’s strategy of closely tying AI functions to the new PC platform.
