MINSK – Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is a lover of hockey and likes to play it, but now he experienced a really tough moment during the match in Minsk.
An unwanted collision with his own teammate sent him straight to the ice. Former KHL player Jaroslav ÄŒupris did not notice him and there was a collision, but he immediately came to apologize and help him up.
“Except for the stretched muscles, I feel good,” said the 71-year-old Lukashenko after the match. Lukashenko’s presidential team drew 5:5 against Brest, while Lukashenko’s third son Nikolay should have equalized just before the end.
Lukashenko spectacular fall on the ice — like a sack of potatoes 🤣
The ageing hockey player lost his balance, dropped his stick, fell on his back and managed to get up only with the help of another player — who had a unique chance to give Belarusians a perfect New Year’s gift. pic.twitter.com/d9oeuZdseA
