Sing Tao News Group’s “I Want to Praise Channel” “Most Deserving of Commendation Student Award Scheme” successfully held its annual flagship event last Saturday – “To create a world record by spreading good deeds from the heart and creating blessings through pen and ink”. On that day, a total of 1,142 people wrote the word “福” together, successfully setting a world record for “the most people writing the word “福” at the same time to promote the culture of praise”. The scene was grand and the atmosphere was warm. This event was sponsored by Henderson Land Development as a scholarship, and also received support from China Resources and Sinopec, working together to deliver positive energy to society.
Nearly 200 principals attended the event on the day of the event. A principal praised the program as not only allowing the commended students to affirm their self-worth, but also actively promoting a culture of praise in the academic community. It is of great significance and will continue to participate next year.
The “I Want to Praise Canal” project has also received continued response from the business community. Henderson Land Group has sponsored the event for three consecutive years. This school year, a total of 300 primary schools in Hong Kong participated, and a total of 600 “I Want to Praise Ambassadors” were selected. Each of them was awarded a NT$400 book voucher sponsored by Henderson Land Development and a commemorative badge as encouragement.
China Resources and Sinopec join hands to support students
Sing Tao News Group also cooperated with China Resources Group to make the Chinese character “福” written by students in the event into a Chinese New Year sign. It was given to readers along with some of the “Headline Daily” before the Lunar New Year and distributed to 300 participating schools and communities to send blessings to the public.
In addition, each “I Want to Praise Ambassador” also received a “Seed Card” sponsored by Sinopec, encouraging them to plant sunflowers that symbolize positive energy and cultivate environmental awareness.
After the event, many participating schools have successively shared the good news of their students’ winnings through social platforms, and encouraged students to continue to follow their example and spread more warmth and positive energy to the society.
