The Korea Institute of Construction and Environmental Testing (KCL) was designated as an accredited testing institution for the World Rugby International Rugby Regulatory Organization for the first time in Asia.

KCL announced on the 2nd that it was designated as an official testing institution for performing performance certification tests for artificial turf rugby stadiums from World Rugby.

World Rugby is an international organization that operates rules and safety standards applied to rugby games around the world. The artificial turf is required for a two -year period test in accordance with the Regulations 22, which was enacted in 2003.

This designation will allow you to perform field tests according to the world rugby standards in Korea, allowing you to quickly and efficiently proceed with the certification process that has been dependent on overseas institutions such as the United Kingdom and the United States. In particular, KCL is the only Asian -based institution among 15 World Rugby certified test institutes worldwide, and it is also possible to carry out rugby certification tests in Korea as well as East Asia.

KCL plans to cooperate with domestic rugby -related organizations to prepare a Korean -style certification standard for artificial turf rugby stadium facilities.

KCL, director of KCL, said, “This designation is the achievement that KCL’s sports field test and evaluation capacity is the world’s best.” “We will provide high -quality test evaluation services for domestic companies to acquire international certification faster.”

Meanwhile, KCL is also conducting certification tests for major international sports sports organizations such as the FIFA, the International Hockey Federation (FIH), the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), the International Athletics Federation (WA), and the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
