Kayaker Rescued on Naab River – Latest News

A 26-year-old capsized on Wednesday evening while kayaking on the Naab in Kallmünz in the Regensburg district. When the boat landed, it rocked and the man fell into the water. The fire brigade and water rescue team brought him to shore. He suffered from mild hypothermia.

As the police report, the 26-year-old from Burglengenfeld was traveling on the Naab with two friends aged 25 and 24. The three men wanted to land in Kallmünz on Wednesday around 8 p.m.

The 26-year-old’s kayak capsized in the “Am Planl” area. He fell into the water and was unable to get to the shore on his own.

Several fire and water rescue vehicles responded. The emergency services pulled the man out of the Naab and handed him over to the emergency services.

After providing first aid on site, the paramedics diagnosed slight hypothermia. However, the 26-year-old was able to be released that evening.
