Early Preparations Underway in Karlovy Vary
The Czech national ice hockey team is commencing its preparations for the upcoming World Championship in Stockholm and Herning with an initial training camp starting Tuesday, April 1st, in Karlovy Vary. This early phase will involve a select group of players, including two goaltenders, three defensemen, and four forwards. A full team assembly is scheduled for the following week.
Focus on Skating and Conditioning
Head Coach Radim Rulík emphasized the importance of this initial camp for players who have recently concluded their Extraliga season or haven’t been actively playing. The first camp is organized for players who have not entered or dropped out of the extraleague. We will count on them to another camp that will start on April 7,
Rulík stated. The primary focus will be on skating and conditioning to ensure players maintain their form and are well-prepared for the subsequent training sessions. The first camp will be mainly skating so that the boys do not have such a long break to the next meeting. And to have the prospect to work and prepare. As their end, enough time has passed and we do not want them to be without hockey for so long,
Rulík expands.
