After three consecutive nominations, the Nazarena school finally clinched the coveted award with their production of Sima and the thieves of time.this captivating children’s musical features a talented cast of children aged 6 to 12, showcasing original music composed by PINA.The young performers deliver a vibrant performance, singing, dancing, and acting live on stage.

Children’s theater is experiencing a surge in popularity, with attendance at youth-oriented productions increasing by 15% in the last year alone, according to a recent report by the National endowment for the Arts. This award highlights the growing importance of nurturing young talent and providing engaging theatrical experiences for children.

A Festivity of Amateur Theater

The awards ceremony, now in its twelfth year, took place at the Gran Teatro Manzanares in Ciudad real. Each year, the event also bestows an Honor Prize, wich in 2025 was awarded to acclaimed actor Javier Gutiérrez, recognizing his significant contributions to the world of theater.

A History of Success

in their relatively short four-year history, the Comedy Ladies have already amassed an impressive collection of awards. Their achievements include the Cachidiablo Award for Best Children’s Show at Argamasilla de Alba, a national festival, and the national inclusive Theater Award from the XXV National Festival of Amateur Theater Martín arjona de Herrera. Furthermore, Sofia Allepuz received the jury’s special award at the Children’s and Youth Theater Festival City of Las Cabezas for her portrayal of Bell. Their international recognition includes a distinction from FENACIES for Best International Short Film.
