The automation of the building has evolved from the automation of the building in the past, in the order of smart buildings through Intelligence Building. And now, autonomous buildings based on AI technology are progressing.
Johnson Controls Korea (hereinafter referred to as Johnson Controls), a Korean branch of Johnson Controls International, met with reporters in Namsan, Twin City on the 23rd to introduce its solutions and share autonomous buildings.
Kim Han -jun, CEO of Johnson Controls, said, “As the population increases, the resources available for use are limited, so we use limited energy sources to do a lot of research that humanity can be more comfortable.” Johnson Controls explained that he is supplying solutions in various fields, including energy management, as well as security and firefighting.
Johnson Controls Kim Dae -hyun Architect Team Leader
Kim Dae -hyun, head of the architect team, explained the role of AI in the process of implementing it.
Kim said, “The generated AI is applied at all stages of the building, including customized settings, autonomous energy management, improvement of indoor air quality, and autonomous smart facility management.”
The Open Blue, which has a generated AI function at the end of last year, is the core of the development of autonomous buildings, and is a solution that increases energy efficiency by analyzing and learning building data based on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to increase energy efficiency and automatically optimize the overall operation.
“We learn about equipment selection and system control by learning equipment effects under various operating conditions,” Kim said, “We organized the UI based on natural language, and presented easy -to -understand answers and visualized materials such as the environment, equipment status and energy consumption of the building.”
In addition, the open blue bridge, an edge computing equipment based on the characteristics of the open blue, can increase data processing and support decision making.
Kim said, “As the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport mandates the ZEB (Zero Energy Building) 5th grade certification for private buildings from the end of this year, AI and autonomy technology that supports it is no longer a choice.” He said, “We will actively support domestic companies to reduce energy and compliance regulations through solutions such as OpenBLUE.”
